These numbers are going to wildly vary by salary… dollar amounts is not the way to do this

Not only that, but need qualifiers. Medical only, or all benefits? 401k and other savings accounts included? What about dependent coverage vs single coverage? Type of medical plans?

Many variables here.

like

$1721

A little over $1400 of that is to max out contributions to 401k / Roth IRA / HSA

The rest includes all health benefits for my family of 5 and a significant supplemental life insurance policy

like

$337. $196 of that is 401k. The rest is health/dental/vision for me+family

$597.34 including supplemental and HSA deductions..

$964.22…however it’s important to note that about 1/3 of that goes to HSA and another 1/3 goes to 401k

I pay about $430 a month for myself & 2 dependents for medical and dental insurance. 15k life insurance was free. I opted out of all the extra insurances (STD, LTD, pet, hospitalization, etc) because I’m not in a position to pay extra on random stuff every check. It’s a PPO health insurance plan.

I'm planning on moving back to my home country. 1) Can I still keep my checking account open here in the US and buy-sell stocks on Robinhood, Venmo people, etc as I am in the US? (I am aware I may need to pay US taxes) 2) do you think it makes sense to keep 1-2 credit cards open to save my credit score here in case I return? 3) what would be the best way to get the longest possible DL or ID right before I leave?(currently on H1B-need extension on Oct 21) TIA 😊

Maybe this is a dumb question but I just want to make sure, so I think my dads company calculate weirdly on his paystub tax amount. How does payroll taxes work? According to them they take the standard deduction from my dads yearly salary then calculate the fed, state and etc taxes. Is that correct? I don’t think that is right and they are taking less taxes on his paystub and I’m worried if we might owe a ton of money because of that. Can anyone advise me? He files mfj and no dependent
