How much money do you need to spend on United to get to Global Services status? I have never gotten a clear answer. I had GS on and off - looks like I am somewhere on that range/zone of spending

I believe it’s the top 3% at united so.... it is never a finite #. They will also give it to you the next year if 1k even if in %, but not the second year.

Thanks. Makes sense. I have been right between $50-$60k and hence the hit and miss

like

The ones I’ve met spend around $100k, but I believe it starts at around half that

Ask Suzanne or Cory

Anecdotally, $60k based out of a hub. $50k otherwise

It’s spend plus class of service. $50K - $60K in lowest available economy fare will not get you there. UA is typically interested in spend in full fare Y or higher in terms of dollars that contribute toward GS qualification.

I imagine it’s gross margin they care about. We obviously don’t have visibility. Spend and fare class should be decent proxies

My average spend has been between 50k and 75k the past 5 years and have gotten GS. I’m based out of ORD. There’s a spreadsheet on flyertalk if you want more details

Have heard 60K + at least 100K in the last 3 years will give you a strong chance. Keeping my fingers crossed for this year

It’s their top 1% of flyers. I spoke to our United rep at a social event and he told me has clients who have lost GS even when their business increases because they fell out of the top 1%....and he could not influence the outcome.

Also I have colleagues who have GS, big thing is spend on UA metal. Spend on *A metal doesn’t count, even if ticketed via UA.

Any resume writer referrals? I’m trying to make the jump into project management. I’m hoping a better written resume will help target algorithms to get my resume viewed for other roles.

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

Hello,
Any HR from Accenture who can consider my profile for Qliksense developer (6years experience). I have been trying for this company for more than 2 years now but not even a single interview was scheduled. Worse part is if the profile is already in the system, it doesnot consider it for other jobs. I can see a lot of postings in job site but cannot apply in those.

Any help would be appreciated.

A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. Not all the time or even most of the time compared to better candidates with specific experience for the role but gives you this wildcard shot at a vast array of opportunities.
