Standard 2 weeks. If they want/need more time, thry can pay extra for it. The reality is that no matter who you are in a company, you're replaceable. If the company is really worried about how your absence will impact the business they can put their money where their mouth is and pay for you to save the company from the impending failure your absence would bring to fruition.
Do what's best for you. It's not your job to take care of a company you are leaving.
I think 4 weeks is appropriate at director level
This is probably the right answer, unless you expect your leaving to be hostile. Hostile would mean guilt trips about abandoning the team, trying to match an offer you already signed, or being petty about approving time off.
I would also double check your employment agreement and ensure it has the standard 2 weeks notice and nothing extra.
The good question is how much are you making and how much will get paid at the new job? Lol

Leaving is never easy but the reality once you decide to leave it’s really not your problem. I’d be fine with 2 weeks but if you’re nice 4-5 weeks would be nice. The reality is everyone things there. Ore important then they are but the company will figure it out without you even if it’s a little painful initially.
Unless you have been there a long time and have a great relationship with your boss I think the standard 2 weeks is enough.
Here in the UK, three months notice is appropriate.
