So you just had roundtables and they informed you of your raise and now it's a month later and you want to negotiate? Is that accurate? What level are you?
I've seen it happen sort of. Someone got a bigger bonus, but same base rate and that was after they said they were leaving for a competitor firm specifically due to the lower than expected raise.
^Mind explaining then so we don't have to assume? You kind of gave no details.
Additional information would be helpful because talent review (round tables) just occurred in May and promotions and annual compensation adjustments have been in the process of being communicated over the last two weeks.
Haven't they communicated to you your %/$ raise? What are we missing?
MA2, the comp discussion hadn't occurred when I originally posted my question. I had only received notification of the promotion at the time I posted my question. It's all good though. I've worked it out and all is well. :-)
I'm sure it's happened.
My follow up question is how does one go about that. It seems like it would be quite awkward.
The best way to get leverage is to go get a better offer from another firm, but you have to be willing to actually switch if your current firm won't budge.
Manager 1 no. Your understanding is not correct.
