I wanted to flag so others can know, I live in mcol and I just received an offer for 120k base and a 15k signing bonus. I have three years of experience. I asked for a signing bonus and a 110k salary. If you are a senior, you should definitely be applying and just see what comes up. Crazy the market for seniors right now
In the past year, I doubled my salary, achieved a lot of my short term goals (non-financial), but I've understandably been pretty exhausted. I know it shouldn't matter but I ran into my toxic ex-boyfriend's best friends (from 5 years ago), and boy it felt nice to see their faces in shock when they asked me what had been new 😅 petty, but reminded me of how far I had come since then and felt good to say aloud to them
Tips on negotiating an offer? It’s much lower than what I want (would like to ask for at least matching my current base salary) + no signing or relocation bonus, which I would like Do I just ask for each thing I want individually? Never done this before!
What’s a reasonable base salary for an account executive at salesforce? 6 YOE. Mid COL city
NYC. Have one year of cw experience at a well known shop (started at 50) thinking about changing shops. What should I expect in terms of salary? 55k?
What are some industry (Tech/Retail) roles that are ideal after 2-3 years in Tech consulting? I have a Comp Sci background but I don’t want a Dev role. And I’m not looking for BA roles in banks.
I'm thinking of leaving Big 4 to go to a boutique firm. I have 2 years of experience. They are bringing me in at the Senior level. Smaller market. Ill be doing consulting on tax credits. They asked me for a salary range- is 75k-85k reasonable? or is that too low?
What is market standard for sign on bonus?

Has anyone exited from Management Consulting in KPMG UK to Microsoft Consulting services UK? Keen to hear of opinions primarily around quality of work, WLB, Pay, bonus and work culture. Any opinion/ view is greatly appreciated.

PSA: PwC has unfrozen comp and will be giving base comp adjustments effective on 01/01/2021. Advisory on cohort system will be trued up to their current cohort based on FY20 salary and all other groups will receive incremental salary adjustments from 1-5%. Now that’s a Christmas gift!
What's a good salary for a first year doing real estate transactions at a small firm (5 lawyers) in a major market? There's such limited data that it's hard to determine if I would be compensated fairly.
Got verbal offer, want to educate myself on LTIs specifically restricted stock units. If the company says the compensation includes 50k RSUs, does that mean 50k granted each year, or a cumulative one-time amount that could be granted over several years? Or could it mean both without further information?
Looking for referrals on affordable, competent TPAs for SoloKs over $250k and traditional unbundled 401ks. Looking for Illinois and SoCal, but if they are good I don't care where they are located, if they can do Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Any insight to what bonuses look like at USDC? Curious to know what to potentially anticipate. A couple friends in core GPS last year claimed receiving as little as $200-500 for bonus...
Went in for a scan yesterday because I was having spotting and cramping at 12 weeks. The OB saw fluid behind the baby’s neck and is referring us to see a high risk doctor immediately. NIPT was negative. I’m panicking. Have any of you been through this?
What is the average annual salary for an ERP PM? 3 yrs of experience doing PM work, not related to ERP. Not PMP certified (yet).
I have 60k in Cash (High Yield Savings and Checkings accounts). And 60k in Investment Accounts (401k, IRA,Taxable, Etc). Have 2 investment properties. I’m 25, should I be more diversified? I want to make sure I’m capitalizing on my cash as much as possible. Should I be putting more into the Markets in stead of having so much cash?
Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
MBB Experienced Hire 🐠 - did you have strategy experience when you applied to MBB? I have some Tech, and M&A experience. Do you think I can be a good candidate (applying at Assoc/Consultant level).
best way to gauge what WLB/hours are during the interview process? in the past i’ve asked about team culture but their answers never end up revealing much about this. i feel like it’s frowned upon to come right out and ask about hours, but not sure how else to bring this up
In my district, teachers are still mandated to come to work even though several of their students have tested positive for COVID-19.
What are some cons of working at MBB? Bad work life balance is probably the biggest but ‘what else’?
So I’ve got a situation: I’m a first year in transactions. Office is located in a different city than where I live. When I went to the office and didn’t work remote, I stayed at my girlfriends. Well… she broke up a week ago. I don’t have a place in the city where the office is located and I’m currently working remote. I don’t feel like moving, actually. I never did in the first place. Only reason was for my relationship (yeah it was a bad idea I guess) (1/2)
If the big4 has an up or out model, do a lot of senior managers get laid off? Not everyone can be a partner/principle. How long can someone be a partner/principle for?
So had a great interview at a company & they said I made it to the next round. Didn’t hear after a week+, then followed up & still crickets from the recruiter. Do I email the planning director?
Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.
Had many rounds for role in a tech company that I did not end up getting. The hiring manager mentioned that there were more roles in his org and he would be reaching out if the role I applied does not work out. Would it be creepy to reach out and express my interest on other roles ( it has been 2 weeks since I got a reject) ? Really liked the company and the work they are doing.
What are people’s thoughts on the future of WFH within consulting in London? Hybrid Model / Full WFH / Back in the office or client site full time?
I’m a staff at a midsize firm. Only been here for 10 months but want to go to big 4. Most big 4 career pages are only hiring senior positions… will I have any luck securing a position preferably in audit by end of year?
