Currently 27, turning 28 this year. Second year M&A Manager. $175k base, ~$10-$15k bonus.
OP no problem!
Started in SALT at a regional firm in MD as an intern in 2014, stayed there for 3.5 years and got up to $70K as a senior before switching to Fed income tax at a smaller local firm. Took a small pay cut and title demotion to start, but quickly promoted from Staff to Supervisor in 1.5 years ($95K base), then to Manager a year later ($105K).
Left that firm in a lateral move in 2021 and got to $128K base with the firm I’m at now. Got up to SM in 2023, and just made Partner starting this year. Ended last year with $172K base, with Partner promotion I got to $300K base.
