It is unrealistic to ignore bonus and only focus on base in consulting
All top strategy firms can get over well over 300 K (with bonus) before partner. It’s up to practice and your focus. I don’t know what “partner path” implies here, but you will need to put in hours and effort to get to pre-partner levels and then retain performance at that level to earn that
Bonus is typically not guaranteed in consulting, no matter the firm. The higher up the chain you go, the larger a part of your total compensation it makes, but it is rarely, if ever, guaranteed.
Nothing wrong with looking at $300k base as your benchmark.
It's definitely going to vary from firm to firm, and varies even more looking at strategy vs non-strategy, and commercial vs public sector, but in general $300k base should be achievable at the senior manager/director/last level before partner level in commercial consulting, though sometimes not till a few years in. On the public sector side, in most cases that's in the ballpark for a very senior director/SM, but $300k base is more likely for an entry level managing director or partner instead of a director/SM.
$300k base is 4-5 year director level base salary in the Big 4 or entry level MD salary. See the PwC cohort table for reference.
Just google it. Someone posted it on Reddit.

Any T2 and probably B4 would be there by director or equivalent (unsure on the eat-what-you kill places like A&M)
