If it makes you feel better I kept hearing how well Booz was doing and next thing you know they're selling the company
Under the National Relations Act of 1935 we have the right to discuss pay OW1 and telling us what to do and say in our free time is a potential infringement on our rights including freedom of speech that even if they could come up with a "reason" to argue they had a right to tell us what to post it would be a public relations night mare. OW1 if you wished up you might be working for a better firm!
Shameless cads
Come to Accenture.
I'm surprised they didn't learn from ACN and PwC's layoffs earlier this year. News spreads fast on this app...
@D9, that's exactly why I got fishbowl 😂
Awww McKinsey 2 can't read 😂😂. I said it would not be good from a PR standpoint... Wow how are you employed
Everyone gets a trophy...
That will have the uber effect, many haven't heard of uber until Taxi went on strike. Oops
By the way, they actually can tell you not to post on Fishbowl, and they can tell you not to share salary information. The question is whether they're willing to take action against you for it. In theory they could fire you if they wanted.
I just love that the PPDs in the NY office troll FB. 😂
You're sooooo slow this is too funny
In light of the current layoffs and new associates being offered 70-75k, how likely is it that associates who were hired last year at 60-65k will receive a raise so we're not earning less than the new hires? Anyone in the know?
Honest question: how are they "handling it poorly". Sounds like the firm didn't do well this year and is having to take the tough task of letting people go. Not saying its good or fun,
But what could they do to handle it "better"?
To be clear: super bummed for my Deloitte brothers and sisters. Several of my practice were let go this week as well. Just not sure what "good layoffs" look like.
McKinsey 2 is absolutely right.
They did that?
Maybe that was a one-off thing... Didn't happen in my office's meeting
.
That sounds counter productive
Lol OP

Ok. The National Labor Relations Act does allow you to talk amongst yourselves about pay. Though employers routinely violate this rule without penalty because enforcing it requires the employees bringing a case before the NLRB, which is often hamstrung by politics. But, it does not protect you from communicating about pay or anything else with the public. It may be bad for PR, to fire people over FB posts or Glassdoor salary disclosures, but it's not prohibited as D4 suggested.
