After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

imho 9 moths after joining up to 1 year. I'd start with discussing career progression plan, instead of directly asking for a promotion. But... lots depends on the manager, I'm a relatively good negotiator but totally stuck at my current workplace because the manager has no idea how to progress my career and willingness to promote me. So, all in all, personal skills are just a part of success, whereas there are also various circumstances outside of your control
For me, I asked about it at the one year mark. By that point I had taken on a whole slew of tasks that weren't under my job description, so I pulled that information together and took it to my boss and pleaded my case. I was fortunate enough that I was given a promotion once I showed them how much additional work I'd taken on.
In a lot of places you'll not be taken seriously if you're asking for a promotion before you've worked a full year. But by that time you should be able to make a decent case for yourself. You should be able to talk about how you've grown in the job and handled anything thrown at you and so on.
I always make it known early on that I would like to be considered for promotions and I ask my manager what I need to work on in order to get there. If you don't advocate for yourself, nobody will. I would make it known and see what your manager says.
I think as soon as you have a solid grasp on your position. If you're capable of completing your duties on time and accurately, you're ready for the next step on the ladder. For some, that's 2 months, and for others 2 years. Depends entirely on the employee in my opinion.
