I'm in the same boat in some ways. Even though I could get a huge bump if I left, the longer term career trajectory is not as good outside the firm as it is staying and hopefully making Partner in the next 4-5 years. I talked to my RP about it and this seems to be an accepted thing. They know Directors can make more by leaving and so they want to see if you really want the Partnership. It doesn't stop me from being quite vocal in the global people survey 😝
Get to interviews. Why are you here when there was no raise for 2 years. When you have option you can talk with partner as a discussion point for career progression with some tangible action items. If they don't value your input ask him to specify. Whats the point in hanging around. Most likely you are not in his radar. It takes months from invisible status to visible status. You can always start discussion. Keep in mind there are another 50 people like you.
1) Get interviews and offers
2) go to partner's office and ask "do you want the long version or the short version"
3) you'll either get a raise or have a new job+title once you're told you can go pursue excellence elsewhere ;)
Yeah it's time for you to leave. No raise actually means loss of comp due to inflation.
The first thing to do is generate options. What option do you have outside the firm?
Get an offer at a competing firm and leverage
In tech consulting, so can easily jump and get 20% more. Or I can start contracting.

I'm a long way from partner...currently SA. Not sure if I'm interested in staying for life.
Love what D2 suggests
Haha. Partners office. They're not here, let be realistic
^^ or may be he is thinking if he can go to Oscars and hang out with stars after the party!
Same situation - nothing you can do until you get a promotion. You can skip a cohort vertically but not laterally. If you are already at the top cohort for your level, you will keep getting meager raises until you actually get promoted.
Just remember PwC is changing the partner election process and it's going to be difficult to make partner under the new process. You'll need a pretty strong and continuous book of business to make a case for partnership
If I'm graced by the presence of my partner, it usually means something is blowing up or they're (re)negotiating current/new deal 😒
Odd to hear no raise in 2 years. Were you an experience hire that came in high?
Take a moment and see what the "Big Picture" is for you. If it's making it to the top, then you have to know that there is always someone lying down for someone to be on top and that could be you till you get your chance. If it's getting what you deserve, start looking into your option. Not all of us die partners.
Bonuses were announced already?!
Referring to the previous 2 years, S1
This is a question to should ask in partner bowl. Seems like they are itching for questions like this
