Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India Hi,
Please reply urgently. How much time does MBRDI (Mercedes Benz R &D India) take to send the laptop, once I provide them the address? Becuase I still have 10 days for joining date, but they have asked to provide address by today, and I have not yet decided whether I will be joining or not. So will they send laptop before joining day? Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India

🐴Hold your horses✋
Let the holiday mood subside!
🗓️Annual worldwide phenomenon 🌏
Offers & negotiations are best done when their entire hierarchy is active. This is since in a company like that , there are multiple portals and multiple people through whose hands the approval comes.
For higher package negotiation on an existing offer in hand from that same company , an approval process is bound to go to your recruiters higher ups. Only your immediate recruiter will be able to do nothing.
Salary counter offers have a better chance of getting accepted right after holidays.
⏰ The hierarchy wakes up and finds pending hiring targets & everyone rushes to close them.🏃♀️
🗣️Recruiters start communicating on their own.📞
👍🏼Higher ups tend to accept a higher offer demand in some cases atleast in the interest of quick closures.🆗
Negotiating how to :
1) Get an estimate of what salaries are being offered for your profile in the market. You can start with the below link , I'm sure you will find more but start with this:
https://www.ambitionbox.com/salaries
2) Over a call (not email) when it comes confidently & politely say something like :
"As per my research people with my skill set / tech stack / YOE are being paid INR 12345 PA in the market for abcd position we are discussing. I understand that you have a preallocated budget for this role however I would request you to please try to have this offer revised once to match the market."
ONLY AFTER this if at all you have another competitive offer from a rival company , simply say something like :
"...in addition to that I already have an offer from xyz for INR 12345 that is already above yours however I'm still holding to see who matches my expectations based on the market value not only my previous salary."
🧠 Psychology behind this is you are feeding words in the mouth of the recruiter ( who is an HR not tech or ops person) as to the skills/tech stack/YOE that in turn he/she will highlight to the higher up while seeking approval probably like a parrot. 😆
⏸️You are also giving the recruiter a hint that you have not yet slipped to the rival recruiter since your expectations are higher than just a match so there is a chance to still pull you. If he/she acts quickly.😬
Talk on these points rich in data and numbers with skills in demand. An impression of a intelligent mature person will also be a positive byproduct of the above conversation that will only help your case.
Wow... Thanks.. will keep in mind for sure.
Is it Deloitte which is not picking any calls?
I have heard they don't generally respond well...hence also why a lot of surprises await them
True.. i am thinking of dropping a mail.. not sure if they will see it as rude and think i am not serious about joining.
Inform them you have a counter offer , and ask them to match it .if you really want to join the organization.
