Hello! This is a long story, so I’ll try to keep it brief. I work for a very small supplement company - it’s myself (marketing/acct mgmt) my coworker (sales), and the owner. My coworker is struggling to complete his tasks/meet his goals, and the owner is coming to me about angry clients. I’m afraid my coworkers inability to complete his duties is somehow being reflected onto me? What’s the most tactful way to have a conversation, either with him or the owner? My partner, a travel agent and reservations specialist, was displaced over a year ago when COVID hit. She has booked millions worth of product and it’s been painful to witness her recovery in finding a job she’s happy with.

Any tips for how to stand out when submitting resumes online to an F50? I have started sending my resume to in-house jobs and it’s hard to even get a response from most listings. I have tried being targeted (e.g., applying to in-house M&A roles and not just any in-house role) and adjusting my resume for particular listings (e.g., highlighting experiences of interest to the company). For a number of places, I have indicated that I am looking for a remote position, which is maybe a negative.

I do not have a single recognizable company or law firm or school on my resume. I’m from a boutique IP firm and now starting in house at an unknown 3,000 employee company. My dream is to end up as product counsel at F50. Is it possible or is my lack of business pedigree going to hold me back?
