Hi Fishes, I have an interview with PwC AC in the coming week. My tech stack is Power BI, SQL, SSRS,SSIS and Tableau. YEO -4 Current CTC is 9 LPA. During the initial call with the recruiter he asked for ny expected CTC and I asked for 17 LPA. Can anyone from PwC comment on this? Is this too much to ask or is this what someone at my current level would get paid at PwC. Please let me know!!!! PwC PwC India Pwc AC Deloitte Deloitte USI

Just say it’s not the right fit for you but you appreciate the time. Gotta do what’s right for you - don’t be ashamed to fight for what you want!
You always want to respect the recruiter’s time. As mentioned, ‘thank you but this isn’t a good fit’ (with a reason: not the right responsibilities, you have a different skill set, etc) helps the recruiter know you better as well as help them with their own processes and judgment. You always want to keep a recruiter in your side in the event they have an opportunity in the future for you.
Also, not sure why you’re bailing after the first round, but if it was because of the personality of the first line person and not the job or the firm, give it another round. I’ve had some of the worst people presented to me as the introduction to the firm - the rest were great and the role a good fit. I have no idea why, but it shows how little investment companies put into developing people’s interviewer’s skills. Good luck!!
