How to transition back to Architecture after working in Retail for 5+ years in London, UK? I have 3+ years of architectural exp. from another country and a a few months of exp. in London on a residential renovation. I use AutoCAD, Revit, InDesign and Photoshop. What I lack the most is RIBA 4-5 stage experience. I also started reading books like Architect in practice, Introduction to construction of buildings and Architectural Law. Hi Fishes, I'm in a huge dilemma now. Im currently working with TCS and my CCTC is 10.29 LPA and I hold 2 offers, one with with Bank of America for 17.5 LPA Fixed and with CTS for 19 LPA.
My last date is Dec-30 and I received a call today from TCS HR for retaining me for 16 LPA max.

I recently bought a house (In my hometown), I am not staying there. It is currently on rent. I am getting Rent as 50% of the total Home loan EMI of that house. And it is equivalent to the rent that I am paying at my current location in another city.

Question is: Should I do yearly loan prepayments from my annual bonus to reduce the EMI amount or should I keep the loan going as it is and invest yearly bonus in share market or gold.

I decalred FBP, and the amount got deducted from my salary.
Now I can see I am eligible for some amount under FabP. What is it and when will I get it?

I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead. I’m 5 yrs out of college. Any advice?

I’m a Senior Project Manager at an engineering consulting firm - I don’t have my PE as of yet and my compensation is $100k + bonus. Just a bit of background, at my firm a Senior PM is someone with 8+ years exp. I have 10 years experience and on track to making Principal in a couple of months. I seriously think I’m on the low end of the salary range as a Senior PM. What’s a typical Senior PM or Principal compensation in your firm?
