@women, what are some of the ways you experience bias in the workplace because of your gender? And what do you wish men (or everyone) would do about it?
See this being shared everywhere on LinkedIn and Twitter: If white women continue to be the face of diversity, then what is diversity?

For anyone buying for one - how much do you spend on groceries each week (on average)? Pls age and gender too
How would you make the business case for adding more diversity to the workforce. I think we take it as a given that people will support this, but some people need to see $$ and #s to be moved.
Minority friends (e.g. Ethnicity, gender, sexuality, etc) Microaggressions you experience weekly?
Do NOT claim you are "colorblind" in the workplace. 1. DE&I knowledge is now a core leadership competency. Colorblind claims will earn you the reputation of being DEI-ignorant at best & racist at worst. 2. Colorblindness within the context of workplace diversity is an obvious lie. You do NOT want to be painted as an intellectually dishonest leader. 3. Colorblind claims signal that you lack the leadership skills & vocabulary to have key conversations. Ask questions here, in this safe space.
The best private school (best on ranking) in my area is an all girls school (K-12). What’s the pros/cons of sending my daughter to an all girls school? My wife and I both grew up outside of the US and have not experienced single gender schools. Looking for any thoughts /personal experiences. Thanks!
I’ve been hanging with a coworker and their significant other a lot lately and I’m starting to get a crush on my coworker’s partner...and I think it might be mutual bc there’s a slight sensual tension whenever it’s just the two of us talking I left out gender on purpose just in case my coworker is on here lmao
By now, nearly every CEO of a major company has made some public statement or proclamation of their commitment to racial equality, diversity, and such matters. What percent of those do you believe truly comes from the heart and a bias for both personal and corporate action, versus a necessary public relations response with little personal ownership? My view: about 30%. That is still a great number, because it’s far higher than zero.
A lot of companies put out ads or talked about policy or internal changes in response to the BLM movement. I’m wondering if, beyond the immediate ads and statements that were released this actually continued. What are some things your agency has done… or could do to make a real impact in the realm of Diversity, equity and inclusions (DEI).
Deloitte’s Diversity & Inclusion group hosted Nicole Hannah-Jones today and it was a goddamn breath of fresh air to hear her speak candidly. Even called the firm out in some places. If you haven’t seen her NYT 1619 project, educate yourselves https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/08/14/magazine/1619-america-slavery.html
38F here .. for those of you on apps and seeking a relationship, not something casual, what are your age filters? Please specify your age and gender when replying
Do you guys use ”Hi guys” in the office to address everyone irregardless of gender or is that banned?
Call it “diversity theater”: the many PR rituals and bureaucracies obscuring the line between the value of diversity and how companies actually treat their marginalized employees trying to make a change.

Hello! Anyone have recommendations of a good OBGYN in the Fairfax, VA area? I don’t have a gender preference but definitely would like someone experienced because I expect complications with my age and genetic stuff etc. I will be cross posting across other threads too.
Has anyone ever had experience with identifying gender pay gap/discrimination and what you did to (hopefully) correct it? Or did you get pegged as “that person”?
I just landed my dream job at a big tech company but I think I might have benefited from affirmative action. The recruiter mentioned how I would add diversity to the leadership team of the product...

Hello , could someone tell me if ZS is allowing WFH next year too or do they require employees to come to office few days a week
Since George Floyd's murder and the sudden Corporate America "wokeness," I (black guy) have been routinely contacted by unacquainted Partners who explicitly state something to the effect "Client X wants diversity, so we'd like you on this deal..." It really comes across as tone deaf and completely patronizing. I appreciate the efforts to diversity (albeit forced), but Partners really need to learn how to not be so supercilious in the approach. You don't have to overtly state that I'm the quota.
Hello everyone, I gave first round of interview on Saturday after clearing hackerrank test for JPMC. I got this mail yesterday, does this mean I'm selected for consecutive rounds or can it be anything (including negative). Please let me know if anyone had been in similar situation. Thanks
Has anyone else found HR timelines to be a crawl during all of this year? Top 5 bank or smaller bank, it’s totally glacial pace, it doesn’t matter. I try to normally be engaged and quick with stuff client side or internal stuff but it truly blows my mind how slow HR is on things. Like if I was to be this slow client side, I’d be fired. Does anyone have similar experiences over the past year?
What would you do: in discussion with a small agency to potentially work full time. They wanted to do a 60 day engagement first to see if its a good fit. Kick the tires from both parties makes sense. They asked for my rates and gave them an hourly freelance rate to where they asked if I’d be willing to do a rate that was based off my “future” un-guaranteed employment salary, less than $100/hr, which was less than half my freelance rate. Does this sound fishy? Am I wrong to be skeptical?
Am I an attractive candidate at all? Or is it silly to think I could jump soon for a comp increase? 1 yoe BAH fed (7 yoe in nonprofit sector before that), currently at 90k. Have some generalist certifications (agile, prosci, working on instructional design). Non-technical, no master’s. Resume is mostly attractive bc of extensive international/cross-cultural experience & DoS experience. Am I still too “meh” with only 1yoe & no tech skills?
Anyone have experience with bariatric surgery, good or bad? I’m 6’0, currently 270lb (normal range pre-Covid was 220-250lbs) female recently diagnosed with Graves Disease (thyroid disorder) that has me swinging hormonally all the time affecting my mood and emotional coping skills, metabolic hunger signals, energy levels etc. I’m interested in a consultation and feeling bariatric surgery may a tool to provide some “bumpers” on my weight situation. Just had an interview for industry. Didn't have that warm fuzzy feeling after it like "I'm gonna get this job". UGH. I flubbed 1 question about a go to market strategy and it was downhill from there
