How would you approach pivoting from strategy consulting to SaaS sales?

Try to go into SaaS enablement. Much of it is strategy work.

like

Why SAAS sales and for whom? Do you have any client contacts that might be useful for SAAS sales? Do you understand what it takes to be successful? Do you know any top sales people in this arena? Have you talked to them ?

Transitioning into sales isn't that hard, being successful at it is. If you have the target, it easier to outline the steps.

think of SaaS as subscription or service based and how this would improve collaboration for teams. it’s thrown around a lot

Not necessarily the best place to pivot these days: https://www.forbes.com/sites/petercohan/2026/02/06/saaspocalypse-now-ai-is-disrupting-saas---but-not-all-software-is-doomed/

3 Things to keep in mind which changing jobs:
1. Always ask dedicated budget for the job before you tell your expectations.

2. Always have atleast 2 weeks of gap before you join any company. You might not understand significance of that but just have a gap.

3. Always talk to people of team you will be joining before you accept offer or atleast before you join company.
