Life changing experience. Suddenly became arrogant and condescending. Stopped talking to gareeb friends. Started wearing Gucci and gold chain.

Used to drive a Datsun Go, upgraded to a premium SUV.
Had a flat, upgraded to a villa.
Used to have vacations in India, had my first ever international vacation.
Parents no longer travel in train, but only in flights, so do I.
Many more small/big changes.
I don't like to create a bank balance. I have a retirement fund, medical insurance for everyone in family, apart from that, I create memories, not bank balance.
I personally believe in not falling for the lifestyle inflation trap. While growing up my family couldn't afford all the materialistic luxuries for me and I think that's the best thing that happened to me as I don't care about most of the materialistic luxuries (apart from few like trying different foods). I am getting home made meals, good internet, good workplace with a lot of learning. I am getting to play cricket with my friends, I can hangout with my friends in expensive cafe's and I occasionally do that but my upbringing is such that I don't give a damn about fancy materialistic things. If I am with the people who I trust and who I know have my back in every situation then I am happy and no amount of materialistic luxuries can provide the same happiness.
My mom and friends tell me that you are making six figures now but still you live simply the same way you used to live while you were making 20k. I have been blessed that I learnt about financial education which 90% of people are not aware of in this country. When I was making 20k then also I was capable of spending and doing things that made me happy for real and now also I am doing the same.
I don't believe in show off and only spend on things that makes me and my family happy, I don't spend on unnecessary things just to maintain a status in society, I'd rather invest my money in assets that will be useful for me in future.
That being said the biggest change that a 6digit income bought me is that now my mother is not worried about finances and doesn't have to work for money, now she is working just for fun without any stress. This may not be a lifestyle change technically but that feeling of finally becoming capable enough to take over from your parents is priceless 🙂

Already if yu have a good lifestyle. there is nothing much to change. I don't believe in earning high changes my life style. I used to goto good restaurants, spend for gyms, spend for clothes, even when I am earning 3.8 Lakhs. Now its 16L, I got additional netflix sub and fuel for my car, nothing much

Doesn't change much honestly, you just get a mental peace that Money won't be an issue. Started from 5 LPA earning 38 LPA, didn't change anything for me
1. Started investing around 20k in pf, nps
2. Netflix, Youtube premium
3. Iphone
4. Not thinking twice while travelling in auto/taxi.
5. Started buying courses for upskilling.
I only did more savings, and kept everything same as it was when i had 3.75 lpa in infosys
We guys who are working from home in hometowns don't have much avenues to spend on
More over the lifestyle... Feeling secured and getting a proper sleep without any tension.
Not much brother... And until sometimes.. only tax increases and the take home remains same or lesser due to that...
Nothing really changes...
Nothing changes, the happiness lasts for a month or two and then everything remains the same. Its just that my savings have increased and I am try to invest so that I can retire early. As package increase, work load increases as well.
