Bain & Company Is there a cool down at Bain even if you don’t make it past the resume screen? Applied a couple months ago on a whim (and a referral from a friend) having no experience with anything business/consulting related as a lateral (only had experience in research prior). Since then have had 2 months at a t2 firm plus some biz dev for a startup. I’m aiming to reapply at 6 months. For context graduated from a t10 school and thought I wanted to go to med school for a little bit lol. Bain & Company

A few things you should prep as they often come up:
1 Name three pieces of communication you wish you'd been a part of, and why? This should be explained from a strategic point of view then creative using the structure: Business problem, insight, strategy, creative concept, executional things of note.
2 Do that same exercise for the work you’ve already done
3 What are you most proud of? Why?
4 Who are you inspired by? Why?
5 What three agencies would you most like to work at and why?
6 What work of theirs have you seen that you do not like? You should be honest and say something, but best to justify why you don't like it from a strategic perspective (as creative perspective gets into personal taste which can be awkward) so for example - why it might not be the best solution for the consumer they are trying to target...
Be prepared to talk through your work, talk about your process / style, why you want to work at the agency you’re talking to, what you like about your current agency, why you want to move on from it, and prepare a 60 second “about me.” Do all that, and you’re ready for anything.
somewhere to start, hope it helps

Bring your damn laptop or something you can show your work on. And have it loaded up so I don’t have to be your IT person. I am shocked at how many interviewees show up with nothing or just a printed resume.
I always like to look into the culture of the place - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Glassdoor. The question I always ask is, “How is the culture here different, better or worse, than other places you’ve worked?"
advice or tips on what I should prep? Don’t want to look like an amateur at my interview. Thank you!
