How and when do you disclose in interviews that you were let go from your last job after being placed on a PIP? Do you have to disclose it at all? Do they even ask? And can I frame why I left in a way that isn’t a complete lie?

TLDR: Got put on a PIP and removed from my project at my last firm. Wasn’t performing well for a variety of reasons. Left on otherwise good terms—my managers praised my attitude and integrity. Just couldn’t cut it :/ have been working hard the past few months to up-skill
