A lot of CCO’s use interviews to gauge their own people’s judgement of talent and are surprised to find just how disconnected their own taste can be from those under them. Sincerely though, best of luck! Nail this.

Every single round you advance, increases your odds. The CCO is likely the last round. No guarantees, as there’s likely a couple other candidates who are also well qualified. But the odds are definitely 1/3 or 1/4.

I made it to the CCO, he loved me but the AD thought the other writer was a better fit because they went to the same college. So I didnt get it.

It means you’re doing something right. A lot right. But it doesn’t mean you’ve got the job. You only have the job after the pay check clears.
0 for 4 on CCO meetings. I like to blame my O1 visa, couldn’t possibly be a “me thing”.
In all seriousness, I would say yes, but also, don’t get ahead of yourself, that can cause the most disappointment. I’ve been told 3 or 4 times I was a sure thing, everybody loved you etc and then…see above
