I am 35 and my current networth is about 1.85 cr. Still somehow I feel I am not doing good financially. My retirement corpus is 45L, equity exposure is 40L, gold 40L, about 60L in FDs and other debt products.i have an outstanding home loan balance of 45L. Am I doing financially well or still way under the mark for 35?

Good, if you have started from scratch. Could have been better with more equity exposure, but that’s dependent on your risk appetite

like

Yes I have started from scratch. I want to go 50-50 on equity and debt, but since a bulk of debt investments are locked into EPF and other govt products, I am unable to rebalance. Right now equity is only 33% of my portfolio.

Don’t overthink. You are way beyond others and moving towards wealth generation.

like

I think you are absolutely fine for 35...please share your expectations and other details as networth of 1.85 cr at 35 is definitely good...

However 60L in fd is 33% of your networth and 40L in gold is 20% approx...try to have fd exposure at 10-15% max and gold in another 10-15%...redirect 40-50 lakhs in equity, nps and other investment products for your networth to grow at faster rate with more time at hand for compounding

Is there a way to get closer to the 58000 total contribution limits in a 401k after initial contributions up the 19500 limit? My employer match isn’t great but I’ve maxed out my contributions this year and they’ve only added an additional 1500 so I’ll be at 21k total in the account for the year.
