I am a 10+ year senior associate staffed on a very top heavy case. 2 partners, 2 counsel, me, and 2 juniors. I feel like I make very significant contributions to strategy and have a great relationship with the client, but I am excluded by the partners on client calls, not copied on client emails, and won’t be appearing as counsel of record. I feel so excluded. I already struggle with mental health, and I am not in a great place. Please help me feel better. It just hurts so much.

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult.
