I've got a job offer from Deloitte Latvia ( Deloitte Central Europe) for the Riga City. The gross compensation is 3000€/monthly along with one time 2500€ as a relocation allowance with other benefits like 45€/month as Telephone reimbursement etc & other usual Deloitte benefits. Currently I've a ctc of 11 LPA at EY & 3.5 YOE. Is it worth accepting the offer after all calculations. #Deloitte #Europe #Latvia . Deloitte EY . Kindly provide some insights if u have any .

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

What about both?
Would depend on the practice and people in my opinion, I wouldn’t make this decision based on firm reputation. Principal can be a tough entry point, but if you have a growing team it could position you very quickly for partner. PL at BCG might give you more time to build up your network though.
Also if comp is a concern make sure you understand the total comp structure. OW is heavily bonus-driven at senior levels (expect ~1/3 of your comp to come from bonus) so not sure if that 10% difference is based on base salary or total.

What are you expecting to land as a big 4 SM? Partner? Big 4 SMs are engagement managers ( so not sure what you mean "return"), so unless you're looking for a promotion/step up, what's the concern?

PL/P at BCG is very similar in terms of responsibilities so as others have mentioned I wouldn’t worry a whole lot about that. Some comp structure changes once you get promoted but staffing wise they have a lot in common. Expectations are just higher at P. I was much happier to lateral at PL then work on my network to be a successful P instead of crash and burn with little support at P.
And I think the BcG partnership is probably more attractive than the MMC shares
I would recommend join BCG
What practice at BCG and OW?
Is this with BCG digital? Did you know you were interviewing for PL or it was decided post interviews? Guessing this is generalist track.
Also tbh I can barely tell the diff between hours worked /roles of my principals and Pls
