Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations
Have an offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role but it seems like this one requires 2-3 days in the office - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

As someone with the experience you have, coming in at entry level and doing all HR responsibilities besides payroll, I would say you should at least be paid $30.00.
It sounds like you have a lot of great experience. You should definitely be making more than what they are paying you. Especially given the level of responsibility they are giving you.
If you need an assistant, look no further
Need to expand on size of the company and what the responsibilities include. If it’s a 10-20 employee company then 28 probably isn’t far off from what would be expected and what they would be willing to pay. But if it’s a F500 company I would expect it to be much more given the complexity of the work.
60-70 employees in 3 locations
You said you are a temp. Contact the agency who placed you there and let them know about the drastic change in responsibilities and that you need to be compensated for these additional duties. You didn’t indicate what area if the country but it sounds like you and I have similar experience and I would take no less than $50 an hour.
