I am a legal immigrant, but a dark skinned guy. Worried a lot about racial harassment after the election of new President elect. Not sure whether I'm paranoid about this topic.

Racists may feel enabled and less likely to hide their attitudes in the current political environment. Be alert, and maybe even a little alarmed, but definitely not paranoid.

like

Yeah you are paranoid. Racist people were racists before trump and will be racists after trump. Same goes with no racists. Get over it.

like

All these wonderful, "assuring" comments coming from people who probably have never faced any discrimination because of their sexuality, skin color, accent. So empathetic. Yes OP, you are being just paranoid. Racism can never get worse because of those empowered by the hate rhetoric of a leader who openly legitimized their prejudices and bigotry.

like

You're paranoid. No one cares about your skin color - get over yourself.

Yeah you are paranoid. There's going to be assholes in this world no matter who is president. Grow a par of balls and live your life

D2 I was being sarcastic with "everyone here is smart" . Read it again. And now m, you just not only missed my sarcasm but contradicted yourself by admitting that no one in this country is smart. Yes D2, not everyone in this country is smart. They are the ones that minorities like me - a gay immigrant are scared of. Please be assuring to us instead of minimizing our fears by your condescending remarks

like

I think D2 is the same Deloitte consultant I've been debating in another post. Similar lack of empathy and logic and happily makes broad statements behind the guise of anonymity. Or he/she could just be drunk from Saturday day drinking (no harm in that). Either way, if I knew who you were, I would never staff you on any of my projects. Your blatant disregard of other people's opinions, arguments unfounded by data, and overall level of disrespect assure me you are a toxin to our firm and not the best recruit by a large margin

like

Then know members of your staff likely despise you. And know that creating a following is vital to growing at our firm

like

You're not being paranoid. It's true that white supremacists have always been out there, but now they feel empowered to actually take action. It's happening across the country. Don't let these ignorant people tell you your fears mean nothing.

like

^ That. As long as you're legal and have papers what the fuck is the government going to say....

like

E2 - please go away. No one who is smart gives a fuck about race or skin color. You bitching about it makes it worse.

like

My staff is great again.

How many of the "get over yourself" crowd are non-white?

like

No I choose to stay here D2! And of course, everyone here is smart. Just read your own words for a second

like

I think none of the folks posting here are bothered about being harassed at work. It's more about public transports and rednecks in the planes.

like

Now D2 officially talks like Trump.

"Fuck you" money, PwC1?

Not all consultants are smart - doing index matches and making slides doesn't make you Einstein. Point proven by you being here.
