Don't MDs make 2x+ SMs? According to my math Accenture wins
Leave to go to D then return to A.
Agree.. stick to ACN..
Get Accenture to match. At this point its a pride game , after sweating out all , if Accenture doesn't match u have better pay at D. If u move to D, at lot of ex A also around there as well, u will definitely bump into a few as well

From purely a career/comp perspective from what you’re saying it seems staying Accenture is the better move. You have your network, you’re a couple years from MD, a temporary jump at D doesn’t seem worth the risks associated with a new place, rebuilding network, and longer track to MD, etc… but if there are other issues regarding preferences around role that make D more attractive, that would be a different story

I’m no expert at these things but my concern there would be that it might cause you to lose some support to making MD at A if they view you as a flight risk.
Specialist Leader is usually more pigeoned holes to delivery. If you’re interested in D, have conversations with both SMS and SLs to get their perspectives

Given they’re similar firms I’d apply some value to your network and goodwill within your current firm. Sounds like that may eclipse what the pure salary play would yield, and if you’re adding 2-3 more years onto your MD runway when there is going to be ramp up time...I’d stay
Are you likely to make MD at ACN? If support is building, then I'd probably stay, but if there is some internal politics going on, the jump may be worth it.
Would you be able to switch from SL to the standard track at D if you wanted? If so, that is also worth thinking about if you would want to make P instead of MD
Nope that’s very difficult.
Market is hot and firms are losing talent. See if you can get a match and ride the wave for 2 to 3 years to MD.
All I can say is I just jump ship for a firm that does what I really love... And got shafted because I won't get any bonus after working like hell through COVID
