Can Apple support turn off “Find My Iphone” for you? I need to turn it off for a phone trade it, but I don’t have access to the Apple ID for that phone. Submitted a request for access but it won’t take effect until 1/17, while I have to ship the phone out by 1/8.
Any other suggestions are also welcome.

Ah, I would not expect someone with NPD to be self conscious, so this is a step in the right direction!
I feel like there’s some irony in the original post, the narcissist who is self conscious. Definitely in the very right direction though!
OP - I sincerely congratulate you for this candor. I have not been diagnosed with NPD, but had similar traits due to my relationship with my bipolar / narcissistic mother. Took me hitting rock bottom emotionally and in my relationship to seek counseling and can’t express how much that helped - truly a new person. I hope you continue to get the evolution and emotional strength to keep your worst tendencies at bay
Thank You!

Insecurity is the root of narcissism. Find out what you’re insecure about, confront it, overcome it, and you’ll be free!
It’s not possible to cure NPD. If you’re in a personal relationship with one therapists often recommend against therapy because it can make them more manipulative / fake cognitive empathy.
I think more people in consulting have this disorder than we think.
OP- I’m glad you’re talking about it. IMO the single best immediate answer is a therapist. Find someone you trust and let them help you understand your insecurities. So damn helpful. Remember- people exist out there who go to school and study how to help people and their mental health. Their whole job is to help people like us.
Not assuming you don’t have a therapist, I think you said you do. But reinforcing the importance!
Does anyone in consulting not have this disorder?
Ikr, I can see alot of people at my office alone who do. Sometimes it feels like the jungle in disguise.
As someone who was in a traumatic relationship with someone who either had NPD or very very similar tendencies, I really commend you on doing the tough introspective work to get here. And if you’ve gotten this far, have faith you can make some great progress in your own healing. Wish you the best!
Everyday is a battle of wills, but I’m taking it one day at a time. Appreciate the kind words, and I really hope your experience wasn’t too traumatic

By any chance, were you raised by someone with NPD?
I was and thank goodness I survived (and for therapy). As someone else mentioned, it’s liberating once you put your insecurities to bed - wishing you all the best, OP.
No I wasn’t, but i lived away from my parents as a kid; so I do have some degree of fearful avoidant anxiety
Just don’t date/marry a BPD - NPD are great fits with them and have amazing honeymoon phases only to have explosive downfalls…not that I have been on that position twice…..
Self awareness will empower you. There is nothing wrong with this disorder. Apply the golden rule and make the world your bitch.

Focus on building empathy and sympathy. Volunteer with those less fortunate.
Are you seeing a therapist regularly? I am not NPD but was diagnosed with ADHD last year and my weekly sessions with my therapist are life changing.
Yep! Every week, best decision I ever made
Curious as to what prompted your diagnosis? Most people remain undiagnosed for a lifetime.
How does that affect your work? Does your colleagues know?
I guarantee they suspect something is "off"

Also, OP, tell us about yourself. I am fascinated and curious to speak to someone with diagnosed NPD. The term is thrown around a lot but I don’t know if I’ve ever known a true Narcissist.

This sounds like me 😩
