Please hire a helper if you can . Whatever housework you can outsource you should
I did that also but my inlaws asked that helper to help them ,if I interrupted I was physically abused..it's easy to say but hard to do .
Dont rely on anyone for chores/your health.Nanny ,daycare ,cooking and cleaning is all available in major cities.also,inlaws and sometimes spouse will purposely try to create conflict with helpers....Stay strong and assertive ..Remember if you want your career ,you have to outsource these chores .Also,periodic breaks outside of family,socialising with your female friends,short vacations with supportive people is also required for a
healthy state of mind .
Please hire cook, cleaning person and nanny
If anybody at your home questions this decision, ask them to take this responsibilty on their head and i hope you are mature enough to understand only you are their to take care of yourself nobody is going to stepup to do that for you.
If your husband & in laws are so good for nothing & literally 0 value add in your life (no emotional or financial or physical support & they physically abuse you) - help me understand; why are you still living with them?
We sympathise with you .However, if you start taking small steps ,it will keep your source of income/ independance intact.As far as your family situation is concerned ,anybody who wants to take advantage if you today or tomorrow,will do it .Be it today or tomorrow.Imagine few years later ,if you are physically weak ,not able to focus on your job( people typically dont change) and in the same situation ,dont you think you would back to same question.
Yes please hire a help who comes in the morning and helps with the cooking 3 meals and cleaning. You also need to take care of yourself, if the family does not pitch in then hire one.
Otherwise you are just working your ass to fulfill the bare minimum of everyone and not spending quality time with your children.
Please don't leave your job, have a working boundary there also but any additional help will definitely be a relief for you.
Time to take a break or sabbatical until your kids are grown ups enf to do all their things on their own .. atleast you will be relieved of kids and their work related to school

Requirement for u...maid, cook, school bus to pick up and drop kids, gym membership. Ignore all others and what ever u r earning use it for ur happiness. Evem at 38 thibking and waiting for approval from husband... ? Tell them bhaad main jao....
