Hello i got an offer from Brillio (joining in 2023) but as an intern i have experience of using go-lang as backend developer. So my question is should i join Brillo or look for some other companies. I don't know what type of clients Brillio have and tech they use.

I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

If it's a for-profit company, calling workers “volunteers” doesn't exempt them from wage laws. but no one reports it because the whole industry thrives on passion and guilt. They call it “volunteering” to dodge accountability while profiting off your exhaustion.

Dang.. this is a LOT. Your concerns are valid. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, for-profit employers are generally required to pay employees at least the federal minimum wage, currently $7.25 per hour. Labeling workers as "volunteers" does not exempt employers from this obligation. If you're working set hours and performing assigned duties, you should be compensated accordingly. Have you asked other people on that? If you get more people on the same problem, you might want to look for an HR responsable or even a legal professional.
If they are paying you at all then you are not a volunteer. Now they could call you a "contract worker" but that should involve a contract where you sign off before hand on what you will be receiving.

They're all seasonal positions, rather than one night. That they can and do fire people over.
As for what I should know before agreeing to the gig: I wasn't concerned with the legality of these places until the most recent one's owner started acting suspicious. He refused to put previously agreed wages in writing. The Indeed post I applied through had been taken down after I applied, and I could not find anything about wages on the haunt's website. I asked for confirmation on the wages since I couldn't find it anywhere. He refused, claiming it wasn't "professional" to confirm previously agreed-upon wages in any form of writing. Which makes no sense.
The amount wasn't and isn't the issue for me. It's the behavior surrounding the topic that had me concerned. If I had an doubt before applying, I wouldn't have applied. 🙄
The haunt that hired me for this year is no longer active in the Secretary of State's filings of businesses. It was dissolved last year for failing to file their annual reports, and has not been reinstated. SOS told me they should not even be operating. I was right in that they were not legally sound.
