I am applying for a contract position on a 1099 @ $52.50 hr. I was asked, if hired full-time, what my salaried rate would be. I asked Google, and it suggested that I should multiply the contract rate by 0.75 - 0.80 to account for employer taxes and benefits. Does this multiplier appear correct, assuming full benefits?

That's probably in the right neighborhood for what you should be targeting. But I'd probably tell them a bit higher than that since you know they'll counter. So instead of $39-$42 or whatever .75-.8 works out to, say $44-48 or something like that.

I would look up what the going salary is for the role. Remember that your self-employment tax is significantly higher. If 80-90k is what you see everywhere else, then that’s a safe bet with the multiplier.

Hello folks,
I have an offer in hand by value labs and Accenture and I’m more leaning towards valuelabs. However, I’ve seen a lot of comment online which were made in 2022 and before as well that the job security is an issue in value labs and they will fire a chunk without any prior notice.
Is it true?
I would really appreciate if anyone can shed some on light on this.
