1) if possible, have a friend refer you
2) tailor your resume to the specific job
3) once you get a confirmed interview: do your research on the role you apply too...aka do some googling on the tech/service of the position you apply for, as most interviewers will ask you specifics on it
4) have good questions prepared. My go to is “what is the current project lacking/needing that you are looking for a employee, like myself to bring”...or something along those lines. Then have 2-3 of those prepared
5) most times you’ll have multiple interviews, at different times, and they will ask the same questions. Totally fine if you give the same answer, the key part is keeping your energy up and answering it like you’ve never been asked it before
I work with Servicenow which is a hot skill at the moment. So that helped me get a foot in the door. I also have more of a process improvement/IT background, so I’m not 100% on what trainings are out there in the financial world that would make more sense for you to focus on based on your interest/skill set.
Edit: SNOW does have a financial management application, but I don’t know much about it. Could look into that
Start prepping up for the case study interviews now. You will remember & thank me later. Good luck!
