I saw some articles on gang rape in India. Is that the new gen Indian male or has it always been bad in India? Grew up in US
@KPMG, You know you don't have to pay for punctuation, right?
OW I'd hug you if I knew who you were. One of the best responses I have ever seen.

Planning to start a family. Can't help... Super skeptical about everything
Being a much older sister to a brother and a sister who grew up the in beginning of cyber bullying I found if I had open communication with them and told them not to put themselves in situations that would allow for bullying example some stupid website call formspring and then going random searches for their names or screen names and calling them out on it I protected them from a lot of shit their friends went through. I decided I will be the same type of parent. I also had my parents come down hard on them when they bullied someone else lost phones/computers/ ect not acceptable. Both have thanked me now they are in their last years of college
Ok whatever! OW live by your high standards and don't try a bit to get down from your high horse and be empathetic. There are people in the world outside of America who grow up naive and innocent, and are not exposed to realities of life. It was like a haven, America was.. And yes, sometimes the horrors of life that you lived made parents in those parts of the world shield their children from it. Still you wanna call me ignorant. Go ahead. Do it. Not gonna change anything except make you look less empathetic especially when I'm going out of my way to explain how this could've happened!
OW I see where you're coming from but what I think OP meant was growing up outside of the US you have this picture perfect imagine of a fun high school where there are jocks and nerds and cheer leaders, picket fence and a checked tablecloth. I was shocked when that image broke. So I guess that's what OP was asking..
I guess the only high school options are picket fences and checked tablecloths or rape. Who knew 350 million people in the most diverse country in the world spread across 8000 square miles could have such binary limitations when selecting what high school to go to?
Again you are being defensive... If you grew up watching friends as the only source of information how to gauge a country's prosperity, ud be shocked too
If you used Friends as your basis for life in high school, you're in for quite a shock. Saved By The Bell would have been a much more appropriate analogy. Also, you understand how ignorant you sound when you say it's perfectly normal and acceptable to categorize an entire culture with the theme of a sitcom (or rape documentary) right? When Americans make statements like that they are, rightly, ridiculed by the international community. I'm not a fan of double standards.
