Become a PM if you can put up with moving around tickets most of your day. On the bright side, PMs often contribute to the user experience once they know the product. Let your new team know you have technical chops as a PM.
*Assuming you have the experience* please infiltrate EY product teams and spread knowledge about proper technical requirements gathering and true implementation of agile approaches.
Having a technical background would help you as a UXer since you'd already be familiar with constraints etc it's whether you want to do/can do the other UX role tasks like user research, empathy mapping, user journeys. UX is a broad term, so what about it specifically are you interested in? :)
As a PM I think you could also add great value alongside shaping the products you work on, influencing key clients and having impact.
Do you have a strong pull towards one over the other?
