Deloitte experienced hires, who all received written offers and in process of visa/ onboarding, have you heard back anything about hiring freeze? Or recruiter asked you to delay joining date?
My visa got submitted couple of days back and waiting for decision. When I reached out to recruiter to give her an update and mentioned once there’s decision will discuss on the start date before putting my 2 weeks, she mentioned “Yes, we should talk before you put notice” - Am I overthinking? I agree with Part Time Sup. You are already looking at a huge increase in pay but to get that bump up you need to get that experience first. If you don’t see any improvement after a few years, you can always move on, leveraging your experience for a better pay.
what about getting hired in the company I am interning at? I think they are going to offer around 60-65k salary for a mechanical engineer 1 positon, when the rest of market is 70+
You can't negotiate until you have some experience-some proven accomplishments to negotiate with. Take entry level pay with the knowledge that you can renegotiate your contract once you have proven your value to the company.

If you don't have any experience at all it might be hard to negotiate. That being said it never hurts to ask. You should always counter, even if they end up saying no.
