It depends onnwhat your exp is.. your skillset and what you see as future in your career. All roles are important and yes now a days good techies earn more. But problem is as your exp grows unless you become a very good enterprise architect just being a developer you are stagnant.
Yes.. I already feel stagnated ..
Yes project manager is a good job also you have offer with Infosys which is good company and also good for Job security as well.
If technically good i guess never ever one should go to managerial roles. Hikes that developers get is way more than managers plus Managers can get fired but good technical guy would never.
Once you are bored and exhausted you can always go for the manager role as per your experience .

In this hybrid type of culture managers role are no longer relevant , if this type of culture remains for longer time, managers will be the first target to fire.
Exact my situation. I was in a technical role . I will say I am OK in it,not expert.
I got technical role in product based company and project manager role in infosys. I selected the technical role in product based company as I don't want to lose technical stuffs. In infy, there was no guarantee that I will be involved in technical things. May be a pure managerial role.
