Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

I too will be leaving if there is a return to the office full time. I will do one MAYBE two days a week there. Any more than that and I am gone.
Idk why firms are trying to force associates back into the office. My firm recommends that we should come 2-3 times, but the partners I work with just say that it doesn’t matter as long as I’m responsive.
Totally agree.

I'd be gone too. I was only working in the office 4 days a week before the pandemic. I won't even go back to that now.

I am doing four but I know I’m judged for it. Luckily I have one foot out the door.

Can you just keep working from home and ignore the “requirement”? What are they going to do, fire you? You’re thinking of lateraling anyway so isn’t severance pay > nothing for quitting? Plus I’ll bet they just whine at most but otherwise do nothing. Associates have a lot of leverage right now.

I might still push the boundary if you’re going to quit/lateral anyway. What have you got to lose?

My firm requires 5 days per week in person but it's really to make the staff be in the office but not feel like it's unfair. Attorneys do whatever they want.
Which firms??
