I have an offer of 18.5 lpa including bonus.
At the time of HR discussion, I was under the impression that this will be 18.5 fixed + bonus
I already have 19.5 fixed CTC offer from Emids and Indegene is ready to pay 23 lpa including joining Bonus.
I am keen to join JP morgan but I want to negotiate the offered CTC.
During HR discussion, HR said they'll not entertain any counter offers later on

There’s a joke in the ADHD community that you’re more likely to forget taking your medication than get addicted to it.
I’ve been taking Concerta for about 3 years now and have never had issues. While I don’t pause it on the weekends, I do take a lower dosage, which seems like a good middle ground.

For sure, it’s still a stimulant! That being said, if you’re using it as directed, you’re unlikely to get addicted (especially with extended release medication).

I’ve been taking stimulants since 2020 for my ADHD. I don’t take them on weekends or if I’m not working. This helps to maintain their effectiveness as well as keep me from being addicted to them. Speak to your doctor about doing the same and see what they say. I’m very unfocused on weekends and it’s harder than during the week but worth it to me to mitigate that risk.
All the research shows that taking stimulant medication as prescribed is one of the most effective ways to LOWER the risk of addiction for ADHD people. We have much lower dopamine levels than NTs and the modern world does not provide sufficient stimulation so either we take safe medication under medical supervision or we self medicate with more dangerous substances and habits.
I was on concerta for 9 years, then when I wanted my private pilots license I was told I had to get off the meds… been off them since Jan 2022, it’s been great haha
Why did you have to stop for your private pilots license?
I took adderall from age 16-22, got off for a couple years, started again at age 24 and then again around 27. So I would say not addictive to me personallg
I personally find it absolutely unnecessary to take my adderall on the weekends lol. It’s wasteful in multiple ways. My doctor knows this and agrees. I don’t notice drastic increase in side effects after a weekend
I haven't taken any medication yet but I have a doctor's appointment set up to get a prescription. I don't know anyone who has gotten addicted to them. If you have an addictive personality of course you are more likely but I wouldn't worry about it
I was on Adderall for 12 years (ages 9-21) stopped cold turkey one day because I was done dealing with the side effects. If you look at my college transcripts you can tell exactly what semester I stopped taking them 😂. Beyond that I only took it on school days never on the weekend or in the summer. I did not have any withdrawal symptoms nor do I miss it now.
It took some adjusting. I definitely failed more than succeeded a lot of days but I just had to get on a routine and stick to it my calendar is a great tool along with being open and honest with myself and the people around me about my limitations and modifications that I have.
Now that I have finally accepted my diagnosis almost 30 years later I am doing great a few lifestyle modifications and hard conversations with peers and I am successful at my job and family.
I am dealing with the long term effects of being on a stimulate for so long like anxiety and inability to gain weight and insomnia. Which is why I got off them. I’ve been off them for 12 years now and I am still dealing with these effects. The anxiety is killer some days and took me a long time to accept help for it.
There is a very low risk of addiction to Concerta, unless of course you have a history of stimulant or other drug addiction. It is an extended release drug specifically formulated to give a slow, steady level of methylphenidate (stimulant) rather than the sort of rapid rush that can be habit-forming. It also does not have the capacity to trigger euphoria in the way that Adderall (dexamphetamine) does, as it doesn't increase serotonin levels. I took it for 6 years and then one day stopped without any issue. I also took breaks during the time I used it. No problem.
