For me, I decided money isn’t everything. Transferred and got my pay reduced back to A2 level, but you know what? Lower COL and less stress = worth it. If where you’re at and what you’re doing isn’t worth it, then you should start hitting “reply” to the head hunters in your LinkedIn inbox. See if you can find something that IS worth it. Life is short my friend, don’t waste it being pissed over a couple hundred bucks a month.
Just lower your quality of work and you’ll still get the same raise next year. Shits broken
How much is it? Which city and service line?
OP, the system sucks. I make the least out of all the seniors in my office because the others bitched and got raises when they threatened to leave. I know that the difference is not a lot, but why?
Focus on what matters most. When money matters most, spruce up your resume and get out there and move on. Meanwhile, focus on work, on learning the most that you can, on being the best version of yourself.
Sounds like you transferred to a new office. That was a decision you made. Focus on the reasons why you transferred
You leave. I left EY for a CPA firm that pays base salary >20% above big 4. We get overtime if we work over 45 hours a week, travel bonuses up to 25% of base salary if we travel, profit sharing since there aren't a million partners to take all of the profits, and you get 3% of the client fees if you're on a client longer than 3 months. Plus, audit is optional. You can work in M&A, CFO advisory, treasury, reporting, etc. I'd never have those experiences staying at EY. Oh, and our trainings are in Vegas, not Secaucus.
Damn EY3, what’s the name of this magical firm? I need to look them up.
Email me at TSGreferral@protonmail.com and I'll send you the incentives package that they publish online
