I am trying to have a polished, timeless, classy but natural look. Something to bring out my features without heavy weight of makeup and skincare on me. Any brands that I should buy? Currently I use Ponds and Nivea for skin and bodycare and Armani Makeup (foundation and blush) with Lancome Mascara and lip gloss; I'm thinking to just sticking with Lancome brand forever once I need to shop again, but I don't know. What do you think I should invest in?

I personally prefer Estée Lauder for basic skincare. For natural foundation - Dior, liquid blush for smooth blending - Rare beauty, concealer- try hourglass for a natural finish, make up spray - Urban Decay all nighter.
Btw what brand is Ponds?

like

Ponds is the brand. They make cold cream and a few other things.

When I was in my 20's, I worked at a department store cosmetics counter. Estee Lauder products typically work best on older skins or dry skins.

How about Bare Minerals, Laura Mercier, Clinique, Ilia, Pat McGrath, Shisheido, Fenty, SmashBox, Estée Lauder, Bobbi Brown, and Jones Road.

Thanks M1. I fall under both dry and old now that I am in my 40s lol

You are NOT old. Do not go there until absolutely necessary lol 40s is young-

I remember Ponds as well from my teenage yrs, mimicking my older sisters not sure what I was doing at all. Lol

Also worked at Von Maur after work as a make up artist. We ran all counters and had to know all products. All I remember is that if you find a brand that works for you, you’ll continue to invest in it. Most ppl do not like to change products when higher costs are involved. That was the gist of my experience. lol

I’m currently an associate (no kids) in a very busy corp group (think 50-60 billable weekly). My wife works significantly less (currently part time, 10-15, but hopefully will be full time soon). I find myself getting upset when asked to help with basic household things (trash, cooking etc.) when she’s been lounging around watching Netflix all day. Am I being reasonable or am I a misogynist? How do you deal with one person having significantly more free time than the other?

I’m 6 month pregnant with a good amount of lower back pain that gets worse with standing and walking. Insanely, I’d like to take my 2 older kids to Disney before the new baby arrives. Has anyone been to Disney Land (CA) and Disney World (FL)? I’m curious if Disney Land being smaller would be less walking and possibly a better option.
