The way I see it, everyone survived, so I’m going to treat it like it never happened. If I spend too much time thinking about what could happen every time I leave the house, then I’ll never leave my house.

My guess is mechanical failure partly related to weather. Looks like it touched down hard on one rear wheel and the landing gear collapsed.

These things happen from time to time. The only difference is that it happened so close to home but flying, like everything else in life, isn't perfectly safe.

I think it was probably a bit of both. It is hard to land in these conditions and perhaps another pilot could have done it but that's not to say this one made an "error". We'll wait and see after the investigation is done.

We need a barrier to block the view of the highway. Apparently the pilot was distracted at the last second by a baddie twerking at the side of the highway. Present setup is so unsafe.

I was glued to the updates too. It looked terrifying. My guess is a mix of bad weather and some split-second decisions by the pilot. I can’t even imagine the stress and fear on that plane.

Was told I’d only have one round (4 interviews), each split 50/50 on case/behavioral. This is for an Associate position and will be interviewing with AP/P/SP level. Is this typical? Since I see most people have multiple rounds.

Hi fishes, I have an interview tomorrow with factset for Client Solution Advisor. Any tips for the questions they'll be asking? And if ajy of the factset employee can tell me the work we will do in this role will be good.

Received an offer from the DOJ for a 2 year contract, doing work which seems more interesting/engaging than what I’m doing right now (insurance defence) - but for just over 9% less than I’m currently making, and the partner track has been outlined for me at my firm..feel like it’s not worth trading higher long term earning potential for contract + pay cut just because the work is more engaging..but on the other hand, ID is starting to bore me..thoughts/refs to anyone at DOJ would be appreciated

Curious to know what you've seen as working to non working dollars split in Canadian agencies. Reference any specific brands (or categories) if you can. I'm used to seeing the conventional 15-20% split for non working (production dollars only, not including media budget, agency fees) but are those days gone now with the takeover of digital (vs traditional) ad placements?

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Thank you all!
