I can't believe people still do this. What do you think about "Turkey teeth" aka people traveling to Turkey to get veneers or other cosmetic dental procedures done for cheaper than they are in the US or the UK? I can only think about the horror stories and I'm glad the BBC is trying to draw attention to them. I would only ever go to see a local dentist if I wanted to get cosmetic dental work.

I am pregnant and don’t feel pregnant most of the time. I’m only 6 weeks so have to wait awhile before any visual confirmation. And then you worry about all the ones after that before 24 weeks or so. How do you cope? I am trying to be positive. I’ve had a miscarriage before so I’m nervous as well. I try some calming meditation and things like head massages but that lasts an hour tops!!

I’m 23 and independent. Working full time and studying full time is taking a serious toll on my mental health. I’m always tired, unmotivated, depressed, sometimes angry at my life, and I don’t know what to do. I’m in my sophomore year. I also don’t work in the field that I’m studying (computer science) because I’m always rejected without an interview, which is another aggravating factor for me. It’s hard to have time to work on personal projects to make my portfolio more attractive.

As my career progressed as a RDA, I moved to the front office and eventually management. I even taught dental assistants and became the Program Director of a DA program. COVID opened up remote work for me, I manage eclaims, claims corrections and billing for two offices. $20 per hour, no bonuses or incentives, I know I am not getting paid enough! I've been a dental assistant for 11 years , and I think I'm done . I feel the pay is never enough and 9/10 we do the most work in the office . It's never commensurate to what we do and no matter how much experience you have your still 3-5$ more than someone fresh out of school . It's a skill I'm glad to know that I can always find work but the burnout for nothing isn't worth it. Can anyone relate
