I feel behind. I am 41, wife is 40, and we have a liquid NW of about $220 billion for FI.

However, most of it is in FB stock that I got lucky with and have been holding since 2004. Should I sell it and buy VOO?

I feel behind because of lifestyle creep, the potential cost of college for my kids, and long term care. I feel like some of my peers who are only a few years older have $754 billion.

Any advice? Am I FI yet? Am I behind? Any tips on how to feel better?

Has anyone had a Manager that does not work well with your ADHD? Im going through this right now and the way they communicate doesn’t match what I need. If I ask questions, they huff and puff. Does anyone use a brokerage account instead of a checking account? Mine offers a fee free debit/atm card and free checks which I'd rarely use but starting to question whether it is worth maintaining my "big bank" checking account that requires a $1500 minimum balance.

I also have a local credit union checking/savings that I'd use if I need any services or to deposit cash and a HYSA that gets my paycheck, is used for mortgage and credit card payments, and to transfer to checking or investments.

I was once at a dinner with a second year analyst, consultant, and partner, and the analyst said he planned on retiring by 30 and the partner and consultant laughed. Little did they know, the analyst owned his own home and rented all the rooms out so he payed no rent, never ate out, only grocery shopped, and very very rarely bought anything new. He saved most of his income, and was perfectly content with just his video games. That man was serious about not being stuck working forever.

Parents- how much are you saving for your kids? Married mid 30s and family income is around 200k. We both max employer 401k. Have around 30k debt. Lcol and low mortgage. Would you pay off debt- or focus on kids savings? Oldest kid is 7 years out from college and will have some VA benefits.
