I feel like I’m always in a fog. I’ve been doing my job for many years and it seems like every time I start something now it’s like, wait, what am I doing again? I have a toddler who doesn’t sleep well, and I understand that sleep loss impacts many facets of life, and I am also already doing things it seems nonstop for the household at large, but still it seems like I should still be able to manage better/do more/be more organized. It feels like every day is survival mode. How do y’all manage?

Every day is survival mode until they are no longer toddlers. There is no “lean in,” there is only “grip tightly and hang on” during this stage.

It really is wild. Between my mind being in 100 diff places and putting in a lot less overall time, I am not as good at my job now that I am a mom.

I wish we could just admit this, I wasn't prepared for this prior to having my baby.

Hi, as an older mom with 3 teens I can give you my thoughts. 1. Perhaps sleep apnea? After having a child we gain weight and that is a root cause. 2. Vitamin D deficient. Very prevalent in certain parts of the country. 3. Toddler years are soooooo hard don’t underestimate how much work it takes. 4. Drinking too much doesn’t help. I stay away. 5. Face it you are getting older.

Does anyone have any advice for supporting and coping with someone going through withdrawal? My husband is trying to quit his weed addiction and he has been irritable and mean since he quit. I have not been diagnosed with ADHD. I definitely fit some of the characteristics that go unnoticed in females. The good news is if i do have ADHD, it makes me quite good at my job as I’m very flexible and can provide positive energy to my patients. Anyway, my boss has told me I have ADHD multiple times. It seems rude when she says it, and she follows it up with “I say that because I love you” which i feel is so unprofessional all around. Anyone have guidance on how to handle this?

Whenever i have a big deadline, my body goes into a panic mode where my energy immediately goes to figuring out how I’ll get something done well and on time. Outwardly, I don’t seem stressed so no one notices but actually I usually feel like I have a cold: fatigue, headache, sore throat, sinus infection. When a task is done, i stop feeling like crap. Wavering between tired and happy. Finally getting my stamina back post covid. I've walked 10 miles in the past week. Pre covid I was walking between 2 and 4 miles a day. But I can tell I'm still not 100 percent. I'm so tired in the evenings. Hopefully that will fade the next couple of weeks.
