Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

We're all drowning in work. Not enough people to do it all. Follow up on your follow up. Might help!
Absolutely! I’d show the same courtesy! It’s bullshit
People do suck. And they don’t realize that they need to build their own networks too. Don’t take it personally. But also don’t waste time on people who are reciprocal.
It happens a fair bit, sadly. It’s not you. Just take the money…
Sad.
What are you bothering them for? Honestly you sound a little needy.
I found your comment to be extremely rude Tina.
Who are you reaching out to? Other creatives? If you want to know the status of the campaign, they might not have the answer. Also, asking this type of question on the client side can feel like you’re asking them to report back to you, which, whether you realize it or not, might come off as extra work or will need to be treated as an official response that a creative, strategist, or account person might not be equipped to provide without getting permission.
I hear you it is rude, but in circumstances like this your innocuous email may be a real hassle to a very busy person and it might seem easier to just ignore you. Especially if you keep emailing them over and over again.
A better strategy is to work out ahead of time to have the team give you updates and honestly get updates from the brand management team on your side of the biz first. My guess is they are being tight lipped which is all the more reason for agency people to be a little weary of answering back.
Thank you for this response. I usually do work it out ahead of time, but when that time comes, I often find that the questions still get ignored.
Try copying their managers on your follow-up. Whenever people are unresponsive when I’m bothering them with another email, that always seems to make them more happy to reply.
Not sure I follow. What are you following up for?
Got ya, they don’t respond either. It’s a total 🤡 show
