I gave the interviews for the Software Engineer role at Qualcomm. I cleared all technical rounds and the hiring manager round also went well and he also seemed interested in hiring me.

It's been around 2.5 months and I haven't received any update from the recruiter. I called her several times but she is not responding. Later when I pinged the hiring manager on LinkedIn, he told me that there is a hiring freeze. Is there any chance that I'll get the offer letter now?

I have received job offer from KPMG UK. They are running background check on my immediate two employers. They have out source this to third party vendor. I have employment gap of 6 months. Agency is asking me to write a letter explain my situation in those 6 months. I was actively applying for jobs and appearing for interviews during those 6 months. I will explain this in detail in the letter. Do I need to submit any other document.

I had two rounds of discussion (more than a month ago) and the recruiter informed me that they’ll be scheduling the HR discussion and then be rolling out the offer.

It has been two weeks now and I haven’t heard from the recruiter nor has my HR discussion been scheduled.

But I also have offers from Deloitte and EY to be a GPS consultant at ~100k. Is it worth it to move to D or EY? Seems like hiring has slowed down but i feel we are in for another bout of great resignations due to companies calling it's employees back now and employees finding ways to continue WFH. The ones who get lucky continue WFH while not so lucky ones will start switching and startups and other mid level companies cashing in on the talent. Looks like it's the lull before the storm.
