To answer your question, probably. That question was inappropriate. It was much more common 20 years or so ago. I remember being handed an application form to fill out at a company that I knew (a) would never hire me and (b) I would never work for. The office looked like a photo of a polar bear eating vanilla ice cream in a blizzard -- all white, with me as the bear's black nose. In the space that said, "Sex" I wrote, "Thanks. Maybe later." In the blank for "Church preference" I wrote "red brick." I would like to say I am now the president of that company -- but to tell the truth, I can't even remember it's name.
I might express confusion and "confess" that I didn't realize it was a position that was religious in nature.
It definitely did and it’s a red flag. It’s so obviously rude to do that.
