I am in a confusion,
I work for tcs and for retention, tcs is offering Canada onsite and they need 4 to 5 months to process the visa
I have 2 offers in hand one is CTS (16.3+ 70000) and HCL (19+3)
Hcl is pakka support project (operations) no chance of development. I am having 10 YOE and completely in development.
CTS not sure about project.
Fishes, can you please help me understand which is a better option that I have.
GDS didn’t receive this message…
Hi Fishes, Its been close to a month haven’t received my offer letter yet from Microsoft and as per discussion with HR they are referring it in the approval process and Hiring manager yet to share with them so they can share with me. They don’t have an ETA yet. Its actually worrying now. Any help on this? Anyway I have 60 days left for NP

I’m afraid to ask your age. Here’s the thing, my generation 53 year old raised entitled kids that have now become entitled adults. This is not little league soccer where every player received a trophy. It’s not fair. You should be so busy networking and bringing in clients that you don't have time to look out that window. Use the conference room for now. Be hungry. That guy will never appreciate that office because he did not earn it. You will. Work hard, make your numbers THEN walk in and get your window office. Focus on what’s important and not the pettiness. You got this! 😎👩🏻🔧
It's possible that they showed unconscious bias to him as the male. Or, it could have been deliberate. Sexism is alive...clearly...if you read some of these posts. I know you're not playing victim and you should not have to justify yourself or say your not a feminist. Stop reading these posts and go with your gut.
It's possible they flipped a coin. Unconscious bias is a boogeyman- an improvable, guilty-until-proven-innocent accusation with almost zero basis in credible psychological theory. The fact that it's so widely used so rapidly is a tremendous concern.
Sincerely, a Native American advisor.
Ask yourself this. If you got the cubical would it be sexist because a woman got it over a man? Someone has to get it, going through life with a victim mentality will harm you much more than going through life without a victim mentality. even if you are truly being discriminated against, a victim mentality is still harmful to you, because it constantly provides you a viable excuse and that is pure poison to success (even though there may be some truth to the excuse). Focus on what you can control and out work him.
No. He may have negotiated for it, paid for it, or it could have been random. Quit assuming something has to do with your gender and go out there and earn your keep
1st mistake is assuming his gender
LOLz - how progressive of you haha 😂🤣😂🤣
^^^ spend that energy on something that’s going to make you money
I'd complain. In this enviroment they should have made you CEO.
Relax, focus on building your book THEN ask for an office. You got this 👩🏻🔧
Semper paribus, it’s bull!! I’d be extremely angry if I were you. I’m shocked and disgusted at the responses I’m reading here.
Ignore BS like this... you want to be a successful FA not a corporate toad
Understand it there is sexism and racism in this industry but that is the case for every industry. You have a choice to make as to how much you want to allow that to influence your work. There will always be people that will be more smarter than you are and seem to have it all together, but don’t let anyone out work you. Overtime your production with Merit what you deserve, so whomever got the office over you, make sure that you out work him and drive better results. At some point you may be in a bigger office for the down the line. Try to keep the Long term in mind. I’m not saying you should ignore your feelings totally, but I am telling you to play chess not checkers. Playing chess is out working your competition and out producing them. Playing checkers is making a complaint to HR about every single thing that annoys you, Eventually you will develop a reputation and that’s not what you want.
Pull up those big girl panties. Someone gets the office, someone gets the cube.
I appreciate everyone’s honesty here. I wanted to express my frustration and make some points that I didn’t make earlier. I really am not a marching feminist like many of you might be assuming based on my post. I’m aggravated because my colleague and I have the same backgrounds, and same experience, and got hired on the same day. He’s able to bring clients up to his nice office for his meetings, whereas I have to use a conference room or go offsite because I’m not meeting with high end clients in my cubicle. I’m not suggesting that I should’ve been given an office and not him, but I believe it would’ve been the right thing to do to start us off with equal office settings. None of the advisors are in cubicles, only support staff. Coincidentally, I am the only female advisor and I got the cubicle. Regardless of your stance on women fighting for equal rights/privilege whatever you think it is, this is not right and it’s disrespectful
I am disappointed at some of the responses you’ve received and shows the privilege those folks enjoy. I did like the one response that suggested you approach HR with a request vs a complaint. It’s a good professional way to handle it. If they can’t accommodate, then kick ass with the numbers and make sure you can take them with you when you open your own office or go somewhere more enlightened. To those who said one had to get the office and one had to get the cubicle- how do you know there isn’t an empty office? Personally if I knew my only option was a cubicle, I wouldn’t go to that company. I deal with too much confidential stuff.
Holy 1950’s, Batman! After reading these replies I’m ashamed to be in this industry. Neanderthals.
Yes not getting a desk is exactly like watching Mad Men. Exactly like!
I think you could tell HR just so they can laugh you out od the office. In this industry, money knows no gender. We have our top producers rotate from male to female every year.
Sooooo... despite all the above advice from people with a combined hundreds of years or experience - you are going to take it up the chain?
Stop looking for the answer you want to see and learn from the answers you must see
Where do you see that I said I was going to take it up the chain? I definitely didn’t say that. Soooooo stop assuming 👍🏻👍🏻
It sounds like many of the replies are from white men. If you feel it's an issue for you and/or the company at large discuss it with HR. This is your career and you have every right to demand equal treatment. But know that this decision could have negative consequences for you. What's your gut telling you to do?
Nepotism definitely. No argument there.

There is violence towards men as well, all thing being equal. #everyonetoo
I had a better office when I was 25 and barely making it. Now I have an ok office and make 10x the income.
Fancy clothes and offices don't attract and keep great clients. People (like you) do.
Merry Christmas!
I would give your organization the benefit of the doubt. Who occupies the office can be the result of a dozen things. It might have been something he negotiated prior to joining, the valuation of an existing book, amount of clients, prior twelve months earnings, etc.. However, having said that, if none of that were present, that is precisely the reason our industry lacks in the hiring and retention of female advisors. If it is something that bothers you, perhaps you get it off your chest and speak with your supervisor but I would use HR as a very last resource. Good luck to you
