When my FA was current and it only took me 4 months. I think it’s also based on location. I heard some people got it approved sooner.
Thanks man I need it….its the final step for this long journey
When we submitted ours and the FAD was current, it took 3 months to get I485 approved. This was a EB case. So that timeline is not always accurate. If you are adjusting based on an I130 though, it takes significantly longer.
I would ask chat GPT, including your processing centers/location, etc.
Have you done biometrics? You’re probably at least a year away from the end.
But with the way things are going now maybe prepare for the worst/18 months
The timelines are automated and will go down but relatively meaningless
I am adjusting based on EB1…now it is showing 2 weeks for EAD and we are yet to receive our biometrics request…so yet to go for biometrics. AP and 485 timings are still the same
As I said, those timelines do not apply to many, specially EB. When I adjusted, you could not even see the case specific timeline and notices on the portal and this was just in 2024. Cases are approved faster if they are fully completed at NBC. If it moves to a field office for an interview, then it may even take more than a year. Coming to EAD and AP, my biometric notice came about a month later with actual biometric being after about 3 weeks from then. EAD was basically approved within a few mins of completing biometric. AP was never processed.
