I got passed up for promotion this year from SA->M because I was on the bench for 2 months. Leadership told me I’m a high performer and will get promoted next year. I have 6 YOE, scrum and salesforce certs and only make 105k at Kpmg. With my skill level and experience i feel like I should make more. What are the chances I could get hired as a M elsewhere? or should I wait to get promoted before jumping? I feel like I am way underpaid and am really frustrated after this promotion cycle.

any insight into how a pmm skillset is different from a brand strategist one? of course the pmm applies insights to and influences the product, but it seems like a lot of the core elements - research, understanding the user, generating insights, developing messaging and angles to speak to them, etc are super similar. interested in transitioning and I want to understand where my gaps are!

I am not enjoying my work here, no motivation at all. Dreaded to report to work and having stress and anxiety. My manager is trying to micromanage me as productivity is on the lower side.

I currently work as an APM at a FAANG company but recently received an offer to join an MBB. I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). Considering that I currently work 40-60 hours/week, I’ll be making significantly less per hour at the MBB.
