How does recruiting for Tech (FAANG) work?
Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.
Nagarro

If they put forth all that energy then you should be fine . Relax and let the process take place , it was just a holiday so chances are someone is out of the office to finalize everything . You got this !
Thank you!
Seriously, is it worth all that energy and time to hire someone. That's why a person should never only rely on 1 source of income tbh and diverse as much as you can. The more desperate you are for a job the less likely you will get it.
I don't think. Person should go through more than 3 interviews
I already sent thank you note as well as following up email to hiring manager as well as HR but haven't heard anything back.
Is it a growing company , or big one?
It’s a pretty decent size oil and gas company
Rising Star
Hard to say. I have been in similar situations where I thought I had the job due to having a great rapport with the hiring manager and going to multiple lunches, only to not hear a word from them.
Hopefully they won’t ghost me, at least giving me an answer
It sounds like you had a lot of good activity with them. Have they given you any indication of how big the candidate pool still is at this point? They may be doing this with their top 3 choices or so at this point
If it's been at least 2 weeks since your follow-up, I would reach out again to see if they have any update for you
